Scott Feinberg

Scott Feinberg is one of Hollywood’s most widely read and trusted awards analysts, covering all things Oscars, Emmys and Tonys. He has served as the awards columnist for The Hollywood Reporter since 2011—his THR blog “The Race” recently won the Los Angeles Press Club’s National Entertainment Journalism Award for best entertainment blog—prior to which he served in the same capacity at the Los Angeles Times and his own website,

Over the years, Scott has built one of the world’s best track records at forecasting the Oscars, highlighted by his performances in 2006 and 2013, when he correctly projected the winners in 21 of the 24 categories, top among all pundits. He has also interviewed more than 650 key figures from across the decades and disciplines of film history, many for a book that he is writing about old movies for young people, and others for a book that he is writing about the history of Oscar campaigning.
